ALLOCATIONS IN JULY During July a further 145 State rental houses and flats were allocated to ex-servicemen under the scheme whereby they are allocated half of those becoming available for occupation. The July figures bring the total number of homes provided for ex-servicemen and their dependants to 7,181. For the districts of which the towns below are the main centres the July allocations are given followed by the total district allocations up to the end of that month: Auckland 46, (2089); Hamilton 11 (550); Napier 6 (306); New Plymouth 2 (203); Wellington 40 (2589); Nelson 6 (162); Christchurch 22 (728); Dunedin 7 (410); Invercargill 5 (144).
