HOSPITAL BOARD APPOINTEE DEPARTMENTAL QUERY - A letter from the Health Department to the Whakatane Hospital Board, drew attention to the fact that Mr H. C. McCready who had vacated his seat on the Board during the year had apparently not been replaced by a further nominee from the Whakatane County Council, in accordance with the Act. Mr McCready who said that as he appeared to be the culprit, moved that the letter be referred to the County Council. “ * The chairman in seconding, said that he personally regretted the letter which could serve no good purpose as the ratepayers themselves would have the fight of deciding who their representative would be in the next few months. The letter-was received and a copy will be forwarded to the council for consideration.
