A CLEAN SHEET
„ WELL BEHAVED CROWDS
HOLIDAY SEASON’S RECORD
There were no arrests over the Christmas period in Whakatane. The police report * that generally speaking the behaviour was excellent and that they had nothing to complain of even with regard to the type ,of celebrant who usually ‘drinks not wisely, but too well.’
There was also a total absence of the ‘bottle brigade’ which caused so much discomfort and gave rise to so many complaints last year. From the police point of view Christmas crowds were orderly and good-hum-oured and behaved. ®
