Pianoforte And Violin Items (Times Correspondent) This week the pupils of Mrs H. Joynt gave a musical recital to a good attendance of parents and friends. Proceedings were informal, and the following children played solos and duets:—Lorraine, Dianne and Bryan Skinner, Julie Nagle, Len Harris, Robert Munns, Lyn Parsons, Rosanna Diggelmann, Eva Waterson, Joy and Mavis Lepper, Beryl Downs, Gillian Ellery, Margaret Gladding, Elizabeth Andrews. David Rae (violin) Mary and. Margaret Joynt, and Cherry Taylor. David Rae and Rosanna Diggelmann played a violin and pianoforte duct, and an instrumental trio. Schubert’s Cradle Song, was played by Mrs Joynt, Mary and Margaret Joynt. The final number was presented by Ila Waterson. The following pupils, it was pointed out, had passed in the Associated Board examinations recently held; Grade 1, L. Harris, C. Harvey, R. Diggelmann. E. Waterson. B. Beetham, M. Adams and Barbara Wall; grade 2, Ruth Beetham; grade 3, C. Taylor; grade 4 Margaret Joynt.
