OROPI SOCIAL CLUB
DEMONSTRATION OF MARBLE CAKE ICING (Times Correspondent) The monthly meeting of the Oropi Ladies’ Social Club was held in the hall this week, Mrs Monk presiding. Two new members were welcomed. A popular item, “The brains trust” was introduced. The first subject, “Are beauty, brains or personality more important, to a child,” resulted in a win for the latter. An amusing contribution, “My pet hates,” proved very popular. A demonstration rf marble cake icing was given by Mrs D. Rogers. The hostesess were Mesdames Chittock and Robinson. Tire bring-and-buy stall was well laden and saw a brisk trade. A competition was won by Mrs Chaffc with Mrs Monk second and Mrs Weightman third.
