Inter-Club Rifle Shoot

&. Tauranga Team Successful Matamata' And Rotorua Compete The Tauranga Defence Rifle Club's No. 1 team was successful in an in-ter-club competition in which visiting teams from Matamata and Rotorua took part. The weather was fine, but overcast for the shoot with a light northerly wind and a changing light. The competition consisted of a four-men teams match in two grades fired over the 500 and 600 yards ranges. Tauranga entered two teams in the A grade. Matamata won the B grade competition. Mr H. A. Oliver, club president, officiated as range officer. . The team aggregates were as follows: A grade: Tauranga No. 1 team 367; Matamata 360; Rotorua 355; Tauranga No. 2 team 352.
