TAXING DAIRY COMPANIES
Nothing further has been heard about the Government's proposal to tax the profits from dairy companies' trading operations, stated Mr C. A. Moore at the annual general meeting of the Katikati Cooperative Dairy Company. Mr Moore expressed the opinion that the big moves to make more use of by-products of the industry and the consequent . capital outlay by the dairy companies might have influenced the Government to defer further consideration of the proposal.
