CASE OF CARDINAL MINDSZENTY

CONSIDERATION BY UNITED NATIONS London, March 17. Bolivia has asked for the case of Cardinal Mindszenty, the Hungarian Primate who was recently sentenced to life imprisonment, to be nut on the agenda of the United Nations General Assembly, which is to meet at Lake Success early next month.

These reports coincide with news of a sharpening of the Communist threat to the Nationalists in Central China. A Nationalist Army spokesman said in Nanking that four Communist Army groups had been deuloyed along the bank of the Yangtse facing Nanking, in readiness, apparently, for a crossing of the rivfer. The spokesman also said that artillery units, consisting of more than 100,000 men, were moving down from North China to strengthen the Communist forces around the Yangtse.
