Annual Weapon-Training Course Shoot For 1 Mirrielees Gold Medal “ The annual weapon training course, as laid down by the army, and the contest for the Mirrielees Gold Medal were held by the Taiiranga Defence Rifle Club on the Papamoa Range last week. The shoot was fired unde.r' the supervision of Sergeant I. S. Nabbs, of the Tauranga Sub-Area. Mr H. A. Oliver officiated as butt officer A gold medal is to be presented • by Mr A. J. MirrieTees, life member of the club, to the member who scored the highest aggregate in the classification shoot. The final shoot for the Mirrielees Gold'Medal over the 500 yard range will be fired in May. The army has set the following standard classification for the prac--' tree: Marksman 90; first class 75;: second class 53.
