THIS MODERN WORLD
Sir,—What is the world coming to? I switch on the radio—a woman screams. Don't worry, she is only being strangled. I hurriedly turn the dial. Bang! Bang! Someone is being murdered. Again a turn of the dial, and now its a musical' murder. Trumnets are blaring and blasting, saxophones are sobbing and sighing cacophonous swing.
I switch to another station—i crooner is groaning sentimental slush. Another switch of th" dhl and I hear a manly-voiced individual advising young ladies how to wash their undies. Again, I ask. Sir. what is the world coming to?—I am. etc.. “NOT SO MODERN."
