WIN FOR MURPHY’S RINK
(Times Correspondent) An open tournament was held on he Te Puke Bowling Club’s green on Sunday. The.weather was fine ■md the green was in splendid order. Visiting teams were present from Tauranga, Whakatane, Mt. Maunganui and Taneatua. Results were as follows; —
Section A; Harding 1 win, 5 losses Cassin 1,5; Boyce 4,2; Lovell || 3,3; Murphy 5,1; Berg 4,2; Harper J|] 3,3; Barrett 3, 3. _ ||| Section B: Warman 4 wins, 2 gj losses; Kelsall 24, 3i; Marsden 2,4: Williams 3,3; Cockrell 4,2; Brown || 4,2; Lawrence 34, 2-'.; Whittington 1, 5. Warman defeated Cockrell in the B-section semi-final but went under -M to Brown in the B-section final. |f| Murphy defeated Brown 2-1 in the final of three heads.
