GIFT EVENING AT WHAKAMARAMA
(Times Correspondent) A Jarge gathering of Whakarnarama residents .and friends from neighbouring districts -"ere nresent at a gift evening held in honour of Miss S. Humphries and Mr R. A. Odev, who are shortly to be married. A 500 card tournament occupied the carher part of the evening. Miss T. P. Sharp!in winning the women's section and Mr T. Sharplin the men's. Many gifts for the couple were on displav. Mr L. Hearfield was master of ceremonies, and music for dancing was supplied by Mrs L. Sharplin.
