TAURIKO LEAGUE OF MOTHERS
The Tauriko League of Mothers held its monthlv meeting in the Tauriko settlers hall. Mrs McLean who presided over a good attendance, read an article by Elsie K. Morton entitled "The Mothers of the Leasuf" Tb° roll-call w— "Who n vour favourite woman film star." The thought for the month was brought by Mrs Powell, "Tn this world it. is not what we take up. but what we give up, that makes us rich." Mrs McLean made a presentation to Miss Rita Johns who is shortly •o be married to Mr Colin. Standen and on behalf of the Tauriko branch wished her much happiness in the future. Miss Johns suitably replied. A competition organised by Mrs McLean was won by Mrs K. Walton. Afternoon tea was served by Mesdames Waller and Geraghty.
