JUNIOR AND SENIOR GAMES

The Waihi High School junior; Rugby team met Katikati junior A. at the Katikati Domain on Saturday in the second game of the competition. The game resulted in a| win for Katikati by nine points to' nothing. Mr J. Lipscombs was the] referee. I
The Katikati junior B players travelled to Waihi, where they mot; Mataura juniors. Mataura defeated Katikati by 24 points to nothing. | Waihi High School seniors suffered defeat at tire hands of Katikati seniors by 14 points to 6 when these two teams met at Katikati oh! Saturday. . Katikati was successful with two penalty kicks, and Findlay scored two tries, one of these being converted by W. Hume. High School kicked one penalty goal and scored; one unconverted try. The Waihi' backs were always dangerous, but sound play by the Katikati forwards, enabled the team to pile up the! points in the second half, just before! the whistle sounded for time.
