R.A.F. TRANSPORT PLANE

GOODWILL MESSAGE TO MAYOR OF HASTINGS

(P.A.) Wellington, April 22. A Hondlcy Page Hastings aircraft, which is the largest type of transport plane in service with the Royal Ait Force, will arrive at Whenuapai from Australia on Sunday and will fly the same day to Ohakea. Short flights will be made on Monday with a number of Army and R.N.Z.A.F. officers, to whom the aircraft will be demonstrated.

A goodwill message from the Mayor of Hastings, England, to the Mayor of Hastings, New Zealand, Mr R. D. Brown, will be delivered at Ohakea' on Monday, when the Mayor and some of his councillors will be taken on a flight. Civil aviation officials will be taken on a flight to Wigram and back on Tuesday. The Prime Minister, Mr Fraser, will probably inspect the Hastings on Tuesday. It will leave for Whenuapai on Thursday and for Australia on May 3.
