FIVE SOLDIERS EXECUTED
JEWS IN POLICE ■ UNIFORMS British Military Camp Raided Commanding Officer Killed London, April 6. The Commanding Officer of a British anti-tank regiment was killed today when Jews raided a military camp between Haifa and Tel Aviv. At least five other ranks have been known to have been killed at the same time. Three of them were nut up against a wall and shot down. Seven others were wounded. The Jews, who wore Police uniforms, drove into the camp in a staff car. They began driving wildly about- the camp scattering machinegun fire. Messages from Jerusalem say that the first Jewish convoy of food for two weeks has reached the Jewish Quarter of the city after breaking through an Arab blockade between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. An Arab spokesman said tonight that the political committee of the Arab League is to meet in Cairo on Saturday to discuss a truce between the Jev/s and Arabs in Palestine. Jewish leaders are at present meeting in private in Tel Aviv.
