NEW POLICE PATROL CARS
(P.A.) Wellington, April 4. A number of new high-powered patrol cars arc in use by police patrols in Wellington. The Commissioner of Police,. Mr J._ Cummings, said yesterday that the Department considered it essential to be at least one step in front of the offender. Police car patrols at night and wireloss communication had proved a big success and had been repsonsible for catching' a large number of offenders who would not otherwise have been apprehended.
