ITALIAN PROTEST TO BRITAIN

DEATH OF CITIZENS IN SOMALILAND RIOTS London, Jan. 14. The Italian Government has protested to Britain about the recent riots in Mogdishu, in former Italian Somaliland, in which 42 Italians were killed.

The Italian protest asks that the military administration in Somaliland should protect the Italians there and make it possible for both them and the Somalis to give evidence freely to the four-power commission.

This commission has just begun work in Mogdishu as part of its investigations into the fate of the former Italian colonies.
