TWO MORE POSITIVE CASES

The first positive case of infantile paralysis from the Titirangi area, a girl, was admitted to the Auckland Hospital yesterday. This brings the total number of positive cases reported in Auckland since the outoreak of the epidemic in November to 92, but the discharging of one patient from the hospital keeps the number of cases there at 51. Suspects remain at four.

The Dominion total since November, however, is raised to 149 by the diagnosis of a further suspect case it the Waikato Hospital- as positive. The patient is an eight-year-old girl from Mangakino. Only one suspectid case is still in the Waikato Hospital, the other five under observation having proved negative. Twelve positive cases are still being treated. The first suspected case of infanale paralysis in the Taranaki health district for nine days was reported yesterday. The patient is a girl aged four from Manaia. f:
