ROLE IN AMERICAN FILM
FORMER RESIDENT OF GISBORNE

A former Tolaga Bay shepherd and. Gisborne service station attendant, Mr Patrick O’Connor, aged 36, has been assigned a role in the Hollywood motion picture version of “Joan of Lorraine,” in which Ingrid Bergman is the star, according to information received by his parents. Mr O’Connor entered business in Australia seven years ago and then went to Hollywood, where he studied at the Academy of Dramatic Arts. He married an American girl soon after settling in the United States.
