TESTING-TIME FOR NATION
'MINERS WILL NOT LET BRITAIN DOWN
London, July 31. . The president of the Mine-work-ers' Union in Britain has been speaking about the testing time ahead for the nation and the miners. He stated that he had met members of the Cabinet, and he could assure the people there was a very grave position.
Trie future of Britain, he added, depended upon coal and he told the cabinet that the miners would not let them down. The only way out of their troubles was by work along the lines which the Government will set out in the next few days.
