CONFERENCE TO PLAN
ASSISTANCE

• An announcement that the Government was' to convene a conference of national organsations to consider how New Zealand could help Britain in her difficulties was made by the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser). .Mr Fraser said suggestions for calling the conference had been made to him by the Federated Farmers and the R.5.A.,.. and the question had also been ( discussed with the executive of the Federation of Labour. "The conference will be called by the Government as soon as arrangements can*be made," he added "National organisations, Maori and pakeha, will be invited to attend.
