INCREASE IN RATIONS
BRITISH AND U.S. ZONES American Shipping Situation , Sequel To Heartening » News London, Sept. 23. Deputy-Military Governors of the British and American zones in Germany have announced an increase in German rations from about 1210 to 1550 calories from the middle of next month. • The increase follows heartening news of the American shipping situation, though it is pointed out that no guarantee can be given that the higher rations will be kept up until next year's harvest.
