HEAVY FALL OF RAIN
DROUGHT BREAKS. IN NEW SOUTH WALES Sydney, Sept. 22. The drought has definitely broken in the west and north-west, part of New South Wales. ~ Nearly four inches of rain have fallen in the area in the last three days. Wheat farmers are no ( w more optimistic about the harvest prospects, but some graziers, consider that their flocks will be halved. Thousands of newly-shorn sheep are expected to die because cool weather has followed the rain. Green feed is already appearing in many areas where sheep have been hand-fed for months.
