ANNUAL MEETING ELECTION OF OFFICERS There were about 50 members present at (he annual meeting of the Tauranga Bowling Club presided over by the president (Mr E. C. Perritnan). After the report and balance sheet had been read, very favourable comments un the continued pro'k.sa of the dub were expressed. The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mr E. C. Perriman; senior'vice-president, Mr A. P. Lindsay: junior vice-president, Mr S. T. Doherty; secretary and treasurer, Mr A. E. Peppercorn: executive committee, Messrs J. Baxter, P. Munro, E. C. Old, G. Pitkethley, J. A. Robertson and H. Smith; green supervisor, Mr 11. S. Halt: auditor, Mr P. J. Sutton; official coaches, Messrs D. Woollarns and W. M. Parkhouse; delegates to the Bay of Plenty ' centre, Messrs Perriman, Doherty and Peppercorn. In place of, the match committee of three members, the meeting elected; for the first time, a sole selector, Mr Doherty being appointed, with two members, Messrs T. Moncur and W. Turner serving on the match committee.
There was a discussion about the annual subscription, which remains the same as nrenously, but the winter subscription was increased to £2 2s and Is a game for casuals. The president presented the Champion Rink Cup to Mr G. G. Pole and the Champion Pairs Cups to Messrs Pitkethley and Doherty. Mr Doherty moved a hearty vote of thanks to the retiring, officials and to the green supervisor.
