WORLD FOOD SHORTAGE
MR NASH’S TALKS IN LONDON CONFERENCE WITH BRITISH minister London, May 1. The Dominions office announced to-day. that the Australian Prime Minister (Mr Chifley) and the New Zealand Finance Minister (Mr Nash) had an informal talk with Lord Addison, the Dominions Secretary, and the Food Minister (Sir Ben Smith) on the world food shortage. They exchanged views on the best way to get most exports from the food-producing countries, particularly the Pacific Dominions.
