The executive committee of the King George V. Memorial Fund met at Mansion House London on March 26, for the first time since the war suspended its-activities. When the committee last met, on July 13, 1939. everything was in order for carrying into execution the agreed plan for the erection of the statue on the Abingdon Street site. The statue has been completed by Sir William Reid Dick, and the final design for the setting . of the monument has been prepared by Sir Giles Scott. The model shown here was exhibited by the committee and received its approval. A house that is at present standing on the site will not be demolished until the housing situation eases.
