BUILDING MATERIAL FOR MALAYA
Darwin, April 30. The Malayan Purchasing Commission has been given priority in the nurchase of all available building materia', including galvanised iron, held in the Darwin area. Local firms desiring to repair damaged premises are being told that all building material is being held for Malaya., even to the exclusion of the Australian Army. A chartered steamer is now loading 1 500 tons of building material and 10 00 tons of foodstuffs Cor Malaya.
