MAY HAVE GRAVE REPERCUSSIONS
SECRET DOCUMENT COMES TO LIGHT New York, April 30. A secret document which came to light to-day from the files of the Anglo-American air conference in, Bermuda last February may have grave repercussions at the Foreign Ministers’ meeting in Paris and the ensuing Peace Conference, says the New York Herald-Tribune’s Washington correspondent. The document shows, that the State Department was aware of the nature cf a contract sought by the American-owned Transworld Airlines with the Italian Government at a time when the United States Government was opposing similar tactics by the Russians in the Balkans and by the British, who desired to participate in the Italian chemical industry. The document also appears to support the British contention that the Bermuda conference arrived at an understanding that Britain would be enabled to participate in Italian civil aviation.
