FIRE DISASTER
OUTBREAK AT BOMBAY MANY PEOPLE INJURED Bombay, April 16. One thousand persons, 67 of whom have since died in hospital, were injured in a fire which broke out on Friday night in a congested part of Bombay. Thousands have been rendered homeless. About half the injured have been detained in hospital for treatment. The fire originated in a ship at the Bombay docks and spread to some ammunition. Two violent explosions were caused and they set fire to some warehouses near by.
