OPERATIONS IN ITALY Determined Enemy Attacks In Yugoslavia Bitter Fighting in Eastern Bosnia London, April 17. In the land fighting in Italy our patrols have been aggressive on all fronts. Polish troops with the Eighth Army have destroyed an enemy pillbox. In Yugoslavia, Marshal Tito has beaten off determined attacks, apparently designed to neutralise the partisans. The Yugoslav communique to-day tells of bitter fighting in eastern Bosnia and battles elsewhere with the German troops of occupation. Eighty German officers and men were, killed when a hall was blown up to-day. The Germans executed 605 hostages.
