VICTORY OVER U-BOATS

British, American and Czech aircraft recently shared in a dramatic U.-boat defeat in the Bay of Biscay. British aircraft first attacked with depth charges and then three American Liberators took up the battle with bombs and. heavy machine-gun fire. In the afternoon, soon after a Czech crew had delivered the final blow, the U-boat foundered. The battle had lasted nine hours.
