AIR COVER OVER MARSHALLS

The New York Times correspondent at Pearl Harbour says that Army fighters are now able to extend air cover over the Marshall Islands and attack from American land bases in the Gilberts. This forecasts a new, phase in unrelenting assaults on enemy bases directly to the north.
