The many friends of Mr B. M. Taylor of Hotel Oceanside, Mount Maunganui, who is at present an inmate of Mount Pleasant Hospital, Auckland, will be pleased to learn that he is now off the dangerously ill list.
Lieutenant-Colonel J. Oliphant, M.C., has been appointed to command the No. 2 (Paeroa) Military Area in succession to LieutenantColonel T. R. Dawe of Te Puna, whose retirement is announced.
