Steady Rain • Rain commenced to fall steadily about midday yesterday and has continued -without cessation. Up to 8 a.m. to-day a total of .98 inches fell in the northern part of the borough. / Maoris’ Fine Gift. The Ladies Committee -workingunder the direction of the Maori Tribal Committee has been responsible for a handsome donation of £IOO towards patriotic funds. This is a spontaneous effort by the ladies and is much appreciated by the Western Bay of Plenty Patriotic Committee.
