SINGLE ALLIED COMMAND
BRITISH AND U.S. AIR FORCES South-East Asia Theatre Statement by Lord Louis Mountbatten London, Dec. 10. The British and American air forces in south-eastern Asia are to come under a single Allied command. The Commander-in-Chief in southeast Asia. Lord Louis Mountbatten, announced to-day that the commander of the new command would be the 51-year-old Aifr Chief Marshal Sir Richard Peirse.
>The command will include a tactical air force and a strategic air force.
