JAPANESE SHIPS SUNK
ACTION OFF SHANGHAI

The Central News reports that Allied submarines sank several ships loaded with rice, and damaged two Japanese warships 40 miles off Shanghai on January 11. The warships returned to Shanghai for repairs.
