Railway Collision. A delay of an hour in the start of the Wellington Racing Club’s meeting at Trentham on Saturday occurred through a collision between a race train goods train at Ngahauranga. No one was injured but several persons had narrow escapes. Heavy Rain. The weather conditions at the week-end were disappointing and though only a few spots of rain fell on Sunday the sky was cloudy all day. Heavy rain fell last night and early this morning, 40 points being recorded on the Times gauge for the 48 hours ended at 8 o’clock this morning. Dog Registration Owners of dogs in the borough may register their animals at the borough inspector’s office on and after .February 1. Dog collars will only be issued to new or first registrations. The last day for registration is February 15.
