America Getting Ahead
Statement By Roosevelt
Loudon, Oct. 13
President Roosevelt in his recent broadcast speech to the people of the United States spoke of his tour of the nation’s factories and trainingstations.
He said the United States was now getting ahead and the offensive spirit of the United Nations was stron'gly in evidence.
The Axis powers were now unable to replace their mounting losses. Nazi propaganda, said the President, was now on the defensive.
A formidable task was still facing the Allies.
America’s biggest manpower problem was going to be farm labour.
