PROCEEDING APACE
WORK ON GIANT LINER 600 MEN ENGAGED London, Oct. 13. It is announced from Washington that work on the huge liner Lafayette, formerly the French ship Normandie, is proceeding apace. The vessel was damaged by fire when in dock last Febiuaiy. o\er 600 men are working on her. There is reported to be no serious damage to the hull.
