Mrs R. Liddle is visiting Wellington. Mrs J. S. Stenhouse, of Mount Maunganui, left yesterday for Whitianga. • Mrs Mac Diarmid, who has been visiting her son Dr. A. Mac Diarmid and Mrs Mac Diarmid, has returned to Wellington. Mr and Mrs Furrie, who have been in Tauranga for some months, returned to-day to Stratford. Senior Sergeant Donald Austin left to-day to take up his new post at the Mount Cook police station, Wellington. Sergeant S. G. Saunders, of Dannevirke, has been appointed to succeed Senior Sergeant Austin as officer in charge of the Tauranga police district.
