RUHR ATTACKED
RAIDS BY R.A.F. Big Assault On Emden Great Damage Caused London. Juno IT. R.A.F. bombers wore out over Germany ntrain hist night when (boy attacked targets in tbe Ruhr and the Rhineland. Mines were also laid in enemy waters. We lost eight planes. One German lighter was destroyed. A lone German bomber dropped bombs on the south coast ot Knglami hist night. The great damage caused at the German port of Hnulen by our raid on June i! has been confirmed by photographs taken by our reconnaissance planes. In tbe submarine building yards one whole workshop has been gutted and another badly damaged. Nine other buildings have been completely demolished. The harbour oiliees and also the customs warehouses are also demolished. There is also further widespread damage over a large area.
