THOUSAND ARRESTS Germans Fear Outbreak “Retribution Will Be Exacted” London, June 17. The Polish Government in London has received information that the Germans made a mass round up of Poles in Warsaw yesterday. Over 1,0 00 were arrested and sent to an unknown destination. At least 5,000 Poles were sent to Germany a few weeks ago. It is surmised that the Germans fear a second outbreak in Poland similai to that which occurred in CzechoSloAmkia Avhen Heydrich was attacked. , , , The Polish Government states that it • has full information of the countless violations of international law which the Germans have committed in Poland and that retribution will be exacted in full. The Czechoslovakia Government has also stated that one of the major war aims of the Allies is to to IaAV all German officials including Hitler for the mass executions and murders committed in Czechoslovakia.
