CROQUET
GATE PA CLUB CLOSING DAY The Gate Pa Croquet Club held its closing day function in beautiful sunshine on Tuesday, June 9. The president (Mrs McLaren) welcomed the visitors, and the competitions were played with keen interest. A dainty afternoon tea was served by the members, after which the president presented prizes to the winners as follows; Golf, Mrs Webb ; ladder, Mrs Maxwell: angle, Mrs Rowe; peg, Mrs Webb. A small gift was presented to the president of the Tauranga Croquet Club, Mrs James, who is leaving the district.
