PERSONAL

Misses Nola Armstrong and Peggy Oliver have returned home after spending a holiday in Auckland. Mr and Mrs Jens Petersen, of Otorohanga, have been visiting friends at Te Puna. Mr Petersen resided in the district some twenty years ago, and was very much impressed by the improvements in town and countryside. Messrs Les Penny, A. Corbett, J. Phipps, S. Sutton and P. Kirk have returned from a tour in the North Island.
Mr J. Brooker, of the South Island, is visiting Mr Frank Roberts. Mr Rex. Phipps has returned from the South Island. Mr A. Gibson was home on weekend leave from Ngaruawahia.
Home Guard
The Home Guard continue their weekly drill at the Hall, and will soon commence Sunday parades. Members of Women's Auxiliary serve a light supper, for which the men pay a small sum.
