BAPTIST CHURCH

WOMEN’S MISSIONARY UNION . The meeting of the Baptist Women’s Missionary Union was held in the Baptist Church on Thursday last, fifteen members being present. The meeting opened with the singing of the hymn, “What a Wonderful Saviour Is Jesus my Lord,” and a short prayer was made by the secretary, Miss Tebbs. The president, Mrs Bryant, who was in the chair, gave a very helpful talk on the word “Abound,” after the roll-call had been taken.

Among those present was Mrs Brady, who gave a helpful message on the text, “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint,” which is taken from Isaiah: chapter 40, verse 31. After another hymn had been sung, the meeting closed with prayer.
