In the film the two serious loves of the artist’s life are featured. They are Edward Solomon, composer, played by Don Ameche, and Alexander Moore (Henry Fonda), Pittsburg newspaper man and later Ambassador to Spain. Lillian Russell married Solomon in 1883, and Moore, her first love, in 1912. Edward Arnold, who first created the role of Diamond Jim Brady la vaudeville, and made a film of the j; character about five years ago, is j again Diamond Jim in “Lillian Hus- f sell.” Others in the cast are Helen f t Westley, Eddie Foy, jua., Leo Car- | rillo as-Tony Pastor, Ernest Traei, |.
