.13 CHALLENGES RECEIVED The Cornwell Cup contest, which starts at Wellington on Monday, January 15, promises to be a keen one. The following are the challenges received by the Wellington Yacht and Motor Boat Association on December 1,. when entries closed: Manukau, Auckland, Dunedin, Hamilton, Paremata, Plimmerton, Wellington, Tauranga, Lyttelton, Wanganui, Timaru and Akaroa. TAURANGA OCEAN RACE The race from Auckland to The Mount, at the entrance to Tauranga harbour, promoted annually by. the Tauranga Regatta Committee, will start off the King’s wharf at Auckland at 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 23, the yachts going by way of Rangitpto Channel, the eastern passage being barred in the official course. Already three Auckland and one Tauranga yacht have entered. The Tauranga boat is Mr P. G. Gresham’s new keeler Ngahuia.
