HOLIDAYS WITH PAY
COMMERCE CHAMBER OPINION Decision to inform the Associated Chambers of Commerce that the Auckland chamber considered the question of annual holidays with /fray was one which each industry should be allowed to settle for itself through the Arbitration Court, was made by the council of the Auckland chamber. The general opinion of the chainberi it was stated, was, however, that the present would be a singularly inopportune time to introduce an Annual Holidays With Pay Bill, when there had been such an all-round increase in costs of production. This was especially applicable to the present in view of the, Government’s statements that the present was an inappropriate time to increase the costs of production.
