YEAST PACK

TO TONE UP THE COMPLEXION When the skin is suffering from loss of tone, .vitality, and freshness, a yeast pack will be found wonderfully exhilarating. Procure some fresh yeast, place in a bowl, add enough milk and water to make a creamy paste, and stand the mixture to one side.

Next cleanse the face thoroughly with a good cream, remove the surplus with facial tissues and apply a warm towel to the skin; allow this to remain on the face for a few minutes, then remove and dry well. Pour a little witch hazel over a small pad of cotton wool and dab it all over the skin, allowing it to dry on. Now, with a small flat piece of .wood, lift the yeast mixture from the bowl and spread it evenly over the surface. Evenness is highly desirable to avoid a patchy effect, as the greater the thickness the greater the benefit.

The, pack should now remain on the skin for about fifteen minutes, before removal by means of a wet towel. Keep rubbing with the towel until every vestige of yeast has disappeared; dry off completely, and then dab on a little witch hazel again on the pad used previously. The ordinary make-up can now be applied, and the treatment is complete.
